Want to learn more about human trafficking and migrant health?
Want to put your health education skills in action?
Attend the Fall Quarter training for our program to improve the health literacy of human trafficking survivors living in a shelter in Los Angeles! This training session will be held in CHS 33-105 from 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Dinner will be served. The training will cover the basics of human trafficking, common health implications, and students’ experiences teaching at the shelter. You will also complete volunteer paperwork and learn how to design your first workshop. This is a great opportunity to learn more about curriculum development, program planning and evaluation, and cultural and linguistic competency with an underserved population.
